The Ideal WFH Setup

The year 2020 cultivates a new lifestyle for many around the world. By now, we have accustomed to and hopefully gotten a grip on the balance between work and family, a perimeter separated by merely a wall.

Here are a few must-haves to add to your WFH setup to improve work performance and efficiency.

Dual Monitor

See more. Having two screens is similar to having a bigger desk. It gives you more room to stretch out your worksheets and documents. Most computers are dual monitor compatible but some are not and may need an adapter to have more than one display output. For Apple users, if you don’t have the budget for another monitor there is a workspace feature in Mission Control. Learn how to use it here.

Noise-cancelling Headphones

One of the biggest challenges of working from home is noise. Noises from screaming toddlers to loud roommates is a distraction and sometimes can be stressful when there is deadline to meet. A noise-cancelling headphone eliminates these un-welcomed distractions so we can focus on the task at hand. See this page for the best headphones on any budget.

Backup

Computers crash, so do hard drives. As we rely more on our home computer, do not forget to routinely back up your files. Let’s not give our boss a reason to fire us. Read more on backup here.
